Biografia
I earned my Ph.D. in General Linguistics from the University of Lyon 2 in 2013. In recognition of my significant contributions to the field of typological linguistics, my Ph.D. dissertation was awarded the prestigious Greenberg Award from the Association for Linguistic Typology in 2015. Following my Ph.D., I advanced my research career with six years of postdoctoral experience. Initially, I was awarded a Swiss Government Excellence Scholarship to conduct research at the University of Zurich (2016–2017) under the mentorship of Prof. Balthasar Bickel. I then joined Leipzig University as a co-investigator in the ERC project “Grammatical Universals,” led by Prof. Martin Haspelmath (2017–2020). From 2020 to 2024, I served as the Principal Investigator of the Polonez Bis 1 research project, “Towards Grammatical Iconicity of Language,” funded by the National Science Center in Poland and hosted at Adam Mickiewicz University. In October 2024, I was appointed to a tenured Assistant Professor position at Adam Mickiewicz University. I am perhaps best known as the co-editor of the volumes *Antipassive: Typology, Diachrony and Related Constructions* (John Benjamins) and *Reflexive Constructions in the World’s Languages* (Language Science Press). My research focuses on typological linguistics, aiming to explore the diversity of grammatical systems worldwide and identify their universal patterns.
