Z dumą i radością informujemy, że podpisano umowę o współpracy między UAM a Dominikańskim Instytutem Studiów Orientalnych w Kairze (Institut Dominicain d’Études Orientales, IDEO). Umowę w imieniu UAM podpisał Prorektor prof. Rafał Witkowski, z ramienia IDEO jego dyrektor dr Emmanuel Pisani OP.
Jest to rezultat wizyty kierownika Zakładu Arabistyki i Islamistyki dra Filipa Jakubowskiego w Kairze w listopadzie ubiegłego roku.
Dominikański Instytut Studiów Orientalnych, założony w 1953, jest ośrodkiem badań podstawowych nad źródłami cywilizacji arabsko-muzułmańskiej. Posiada liczącą 150 tysięcy woluminów specjalistyczną bibliotekę, obejmującą wszystkie dyscypliny w ramach islamistyki.
With great pride and joy, we announce that the partnership agreement between the Dominican Institute of Oriental Studies (IDEO) in Cairo and Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań has been signed by the director of IDEO, Dr. Emmanuel Pisani OP and the vice-rector of AMU Prof. Rafał Witkowski. The agreement was signed as a result of the visit to Egypt paid last November by the head of the Department of Arabic and Islamic Studies at AMU Institute of Oriental Studies, Dr. Filip Jakubowski.
